For Asimov website SysOp's:

This 7zip archive is not structured internally the same as the folders and files it contains are structured on my Windows PC hard-disk-drive, from inside my "C:\Users\Public\Documents\" folder. The files it contains are those I have created since discovering the AppleWin Apple IIe Emulator (and others) and CiderPress last year; and the wealth of Apple II software on the internet available for transfer (ADT) to and from Apple IIs and IBM PCs. These archived files are "Multi-Disk Catalogs" and "Apple II document transcriptions to ANSI text" (and other things I've edited or created new) along with "Source List" files for the original downloads. These source lists should aid you in redistributing these documents to match up with their counterparts on your "Public.Asimov.Net" FTP website.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

For everyone:

Most of these [Edited] (*.tip) documents [in this archive] are ANSI plain-text documents, but some are not--they may be Rich-Text-Format files (). Therefore, it is best to open them with Microsoft Windows' WordPad with these settings:

     Courier New 11 point font,
     8.5" x 11" paper size, and
     1" margins on all sides.
For disk catalogs, use 0.65" left & right margins.

In most of the plain-text documents, that are transcriptions from [Adobe] personal document (*.pdf) files [about Apple computer hardware and software], italicized-text has been placed in quotes (instead).

-------------------------------- () ---------------------------------
In Windows, files don't have to be what their file-type extensions indicate; they can be labeled with any file extension, whether it fits the file-type or not. Also, my "Tip" (*.tip) files are defined in my Windows Registry just like "Text" (*.txt) files are; except that tip files never show the file extension, and text files always do; and '"_Tip-File_"' (with the quotes and spaces {underscored}, not the apostrophes) sorts to the top of Windows Explorer's detailed file lists when sorting by file-type.--I've included a couple of annotated, non-comprehensive, Windows Registry ("RegEdit" export) text-files ("TipFiles.Reg.txt" & "TxtFiles.Reg.txt") for you-all to compare these file-types, if you like.

Tip files () [and Explore-Me (*.xpf) files] with zero file-size/length are just for adding information to a folder/directory-list/catalog about the folder and/or files it contains (e.g., folder titles and/or folder/file descriptions/purposes/contents). [() I changed these to *.txt files!--JPD]

Explore-Me (*.xpf) files are just a means I invented in 1997, for Windows 95, to quickly open a new instance of a (Start Menu) folder in Windows Explorer.--I've included a few text-files ("Explore Me.xpf" & "Explore-Me.doc" & "Explore-Me.reg") about this file-type for you-all to see, if you like.
